Acclaimed as the most popular musical of all time, having played to more than 80 million people in 124 cities around the world, Andrew Lloyd Webber's THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA has made a triumphant return to Australia and will now visit New Zealand.

In 2006, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, directed by Harold Prince, became the longest running musical on Broadway. It tells the story of a disfigured musical genius known only as The Phantom who haunts the depths of the Paris Opera House. Mesmerised by the talents and beauty of a young soprano - Christine, the Phantom lures her as his prot?ege? and falls fiercely in love with her. Unaware of Christine's love for Raoul, The Phantom's obsession sets the scene for a dramatic turn of events where jealousy, madness and passions collide.

With Andrew Lloyd Webber's sweepingly romantic score including The Music of the Night and Think of Me, THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will feature a stellar Australian cast.

Acclaimed as "the most sumptuous theatrical spectacle" by The Melbourne Age (2007), THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA will be a breathtaking event not to be missed.
