Tourism Auckland is responsible for marketing the Auckland Region as a visitor destination. Our mission is to increase visitor numbers to the region, extend the average length of stay and encourage increased visitor spending. As a Charitable Trust, Tourism Auckland is contracted by three funding Territorial Local Authorities which govern the region to steer product development and market Auckland as a visitor destination. To promote the needs and objectives of the Auckland Region, Tourism Auckland has a voice in key national and local tourism forums. We also work with local industry partners to improve the effectiveness, reach and competitiveness of the region's tourism marketing efforts.

Aucklands waters, islands of the gulf, cities, unique volcanic landscape and people offer much to occupy the visitor. The ever-expanding Auckland Events Calendar is greatly enhanced by The Phantom of the Opera, and Tourism Auckland is proud to be associated with this outstanding international success story.
