Ensemble

David trained at Melbourne's Melba Conservatorium and National Theatre. Whilst studying he appeared in local productions including LUTHER, THE CRUCIBLE, ALL MY SONS, KISS ME KATE, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, GREAT EXPECTATIONS, ORPHEUS IN THE UNDERWORLD and THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR.

In 1978 David was cast in the Australian tour of ANNIE followed by EVITA, THE SOUND OF MUSIC, OLIVER, GUYS AND DOLLS, 'ALLO 'ALLO and five seasons of MY FAIR LADY.

He understudied Max Gillies in the 1999 tour of THE MERRY WIDOW and Anthony Warlow as Warbucks in the 2000/1 revival of ANNIE. Then came ANYTHING GOES, HELLO DOLLY and the Australasian tour of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. He joined Phantom for Hong Kong and Singapore and is delighted to be part of this new tour.

David has written, performed and directed many children's shows and SMITHY, a musical about Sir Charles Kingsford Smith.

His film and television work includes EVIL ANGELS, INSIDE RUNNING, THE FLYING DOCTORS, FAST FORWARD, MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, THE DAMNATION OF HARVEY MCHUGH, THE LAST OF THE RYANS, JIMEOIN, THE VIOLENT EARTH and NEIGHBOURS.
