Firmin

John is extremely proud to play M. Firmin in this new production of PHANTOM seventeen years after playing M. Andre when it opened at the Princess Theatre. He has just finished sell-out seasons in Hong Kong and Singapore and looks forward to this tour around Australia and New Zealand.

John has worked extensively with the Melbourne and Sydney Theatre companies over the last twenty years and has toured the country with GODSPELL, THE TWENTIES AND ALL THAT JAZZ, EVITA, SEVEN LITTLE AUSTRALIANS (which he also directed), HMS PINAFORE , CRAZY FOR YOU, THE MERRY WIDOW, FUNNY GIRL, KISS ME, KATE, MAMMA MIA and others.

John has performed on many TV shows; RUSH, COP SHOP, THE SULLIVANS, CARSONS LAW, GOOD GUYS,BAD GUYS, THE GAMES and countless variety shows. His film work includes: BETWEEN WARS, STARSTRUCK, REBEL, GEORGIA, and CHEESES OF NAZARETH.

He has won two Victorian Green Room Awards for A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC playing Frederick Egerman and for THREE VILE MEN, a salute to Kurt Weill. Johns solo album, UNUSUAL WAY (www.middle8.com) was voted Top Ten Albums of 2000 by both the Melbourne AGE and HERALD SUN newspapers.

Then there's radio and concerts and cabaret and directing and charity shows and...
